Petition

We have found that the Downing Street e-petition site did not properly record all the signatures of supporters who signed Ricky Tomlinson’s e-petition.

In responce the Shrewsbury 24 Campaign decided to launch a paper petition calling for the release of Government documents relating to the 1972 Builders’ Strike and subsequent trials.

After many months campaigning and collecting signatures the petition was served at Number 10 Downing Street on 16th December 2013 by Katy Clark MP, Tom Watson MP, Steve Rotheram MP, David Anderson MP, Ricky Tomlinson Convicted Picket, Eileen Turnbull Shrewsbury 24 Campaign, Len McCluskey Gen. Sec. Unite, Steve Murphy Gen. Sec. UCATT, Bob Crow Gen. Sec. RMT, John McDonell MP, Graham Morris MP.
