The Shrewsbury 24 – to overturn a miscarriage of justice.

2012 is the 40th anniversary of the 1972 national building workers strike. Months after it ended 24 pickets were arrested and charged. Six were sent to prison.

On 3rd April 2012 an application was made to the Criminal Cases Review Commission to have these convictions referred to the Court of Appeal and overturned.

Research has unearthed evidence of political interference by the Conservative Government in bringing the prosecutions.
