Support Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign’s live-streamed virtual rally

The Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign’s annual rally is to streamed live on their Facebook page at 1pm, Saturday 20th June. (Read more here.) We have supported them from day one and attended their march and rally each year in South Yorkshire. The pandemic has prevented us all from getting together in 2020 but this virtual rally is a fantastic achievement given the uncertain and precarious times we live in. Congratulations to all the campaign in overcoming huge obstacles to keep bringing their message of the fight for truth and justice.

Supporting Orgreave at the Labour Party conference 2019.

The OTJC have campaigned solidly for many years to unveil the truth behind the brutal police actions on the 18th June 1984 when picketing miners suffered an attack by mass ranks of police, including horses and paramilitary-style snatch squads.

The Shrewsbury 24 Campaign support their call for the government to set up an inquiry into what happened at Orgreave. We are certain they will succeed in their quest to reveal the truth, and to achieve justice for the striking miners. We send our best wishes and solidarity to everyone participating and viewing the event.

Amongst the speakers will be Eileen Turnbull, Researcher & secretary of the Shrewsbury 24 Campaign. Watch the virtual rally on the OTJC Facebook page:
